- The venomous lion fishes are native to Indo-Pacific region. They have showy pectoral fins and poisonous spines. They only have a few natural predators because of threat from their poisonous spines. The venom of lion fishes also can be a danger to humans. The lion fish sting is extremely painful and their venom can cause breathing difficulties and nausea.
- In fact lion fishes are natives of Indo-Pacific region. But now they also present in the Atlantic Ocean. But even in the new habitant the lion fishes only have very few predators. In that way these invaders can also affect native fish populations of the Atlantic Ocean.
